Harvard Law School graduate Theodore H. Friedman garnered the
attention of the larger legal community as a personal injury lawyer appearing
in the United States Supreme Court, which led to a 10-year tenure with leading
law firm Phillips Nizer. Friedman then founded his own firm, where he managed a
wealth of civil and commercial cases including defense of the estate of
superstar Jimi Hendrix. Other notable achievements include the representation
of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and the actor George C. Scott. He often secured
multi-million dollar victories and mention in publications including the New
York Times, the New York Journal, and the U.S. Journal. Additionally, Friedman
served as trial and appellate counsel in a number of influential cases
concerning ship owner’s negligence and consequent seamen injury, landlord
liability, and the taxing of personal injury awards.
Called by Retired Supreme Court Justice Donald Sullivan
“…one of the best, if not the best, personal injury trial lawyers in New York
City,” Friedman held 25-year membership with the Inner Circle
Advocates, the group of the top 100 trial lawyers in the country. Over an
expansive career, he held teaching positions at prestigious institutions
including Columbia Law School and University of Oxford.
