White Spot: Serving Everybody Great Food Since 1928

The White Spot’s story is a beautiful mishmash of service, passion, good food and of course, people – the people who make up the restaurant chain for more over 30 years and the people it has been serving for more than 80 years, making White Spot the oldest and most successful chain of restaurants in North America.

White Spot is the fast food chain of people from all walks of life, no matter the age. It takes pride in creating delicious dishes for everybody, whether it’s that regular school kid or the busy businessman. But if you ask anyone, they’ll probably tell you that White Spot serves families best. Perhaps it is because of their Pirate Pak meals, their child-friendly atmosphere, or the long, happy years spent serving the families and communities in Alberta and BC. Whether it is breakfast time, lunch, supper, take-out or midnight snacks, people will surely find something they can enjoy in White Spot.

The restaurant chain was founded in 1928 by Nat Bailey. It all began with him and his truck which he transformed into a mobile lunch counter that served hungry tourists and sightseers in Vancouver’s looking point. Nat’s passion, energy and knack of creating scrumptious dishes set the pedestal for the first ever White Spot drive-thru restaurant, which he opened at Granville Street, 67th Avenue, Vancouver in 1928.

Today, White Spot’s legend continues, offering a wide assortment of freshly-prepared chicken meals, pastas, salads and steaks along with a delightful selection of beverages like martinis, margaritas, wines, Caesar’s and the ever-famous Nat Bailey Pale Ale and Lager.

In White Spot, everything is made from the freshest and finest ingredients and served in an atmosphere that’s comfortable and welcoming. Arguably the most successful and enduring restaurant in North America, White Spot continues to be the “Home of Great Taste” since 1928.
